About
Welcome to Le Grand Comptoir, a culinary gem nestled at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, specifically at 17801 International Blvd. This vibrant eatery is redefining airport dining with an impressive selection of dishes that cater to both the hurried traveler and the discerning palate. Le Grand Comptoir stands out for its commitment to quality and a warm atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot while navigating the bustling terminals.
As I strolled through the terminal, the inviting aromas wafting from Le Grand Comptoir caught my attention. The menu is both diverse and enticing, featuring delectable starters such as the Smoked Salmon Rillettes and the rich, creamy Pike Place Clam Chowder. Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients, promising a taste of Seattle’s famous seafood heritage.
For those craving a hearty meal, the sandwich offerings are impressive. I couldn't help but admire the Prime Rib and Gruyere, alongside the classic Roque Monsieur and the succulent Rosemary Chicken Florentine. The Cubano and Le Grand Grilled Cheese offer mouth-watering options for lighter fare, while the healthy Hummus and Olive sandwich caters to those seeking something nutritious.
The breakfast menu is equally inviting, featuring hearty options like the Steak and Egg Sandwich and Eggs Florentine. I was particularly captivated hearing about the Smoked Salmon and Eggs, a dish heralded for its luxurious and savory flavors.
But it’s not just the food that makes Le Grand Comptoir exceptional; the service shines brightly here. From my research, reviews from satisfied customers highlight a team that is not just friendly but genuinely attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well cared for. Bree Edwards' experience echoes this sentiment, noting the delightful interactions alongside her delicious choices. It’s evident that the staff's dedication enhances the dining experience, especially amid the stresses of travel.
As I absorbed the combined praise for scrumptious meals and attentive service, it became clear that Le Grand Comptoir is a sanctuary for those facing travel delays. Elizabeth TraubHarris's story resonated with me, encapsulating the quintessential experience of relaxing at the bar, enjoying exquisite food, and navigating the chaos of travel with grace. This is exactly how airport dining should be.
So, whether you're rushing to catch a flight or taking a moment to unwind before your journey, make Le Grand Comptoir your pit stop for a memorable meal. With upscale cuisine and an inviting atmosphere, this establishment proves that airport food can indeed be exceptional.
“ Great airport food. Service was very friendly. Had a couple off menu spicy margs and the Salmon Rillettes. Both were delicious. Would go here again. ”
“ Great place to grab a quick bite in terminal C when leaving out of the C9 thru C20 gates. My sister and I both had the Rosemary Chicken Sandwich. It came with chips and was really enough food two people could share if just wanting something light. I will definitely stop here when flying out or through Seattle. ”
“ Great wine, excellent food the breakfast steak and egg sandwich, excellent service!!! ”
“ This is my favourite bar here...and I’ve visited a lot during my cancelled flights and delays...the staff are quick but attentive too -some other bars could learn a lot from this place -believe me -(I did not publish review where I was disappointed due to it being a transit community) some folks will be so stressed that they left their opinions and views at passport control??!! Stop by-you will not be disappointed ”
“ Need a pit stop for healthy cuisine when your plane is delayed? This was a delicious pitstop. My husband had the clam chowder and I had eggs Florentine. Did I already say delicious ? We sat up at the bar which is always the best service anywhere you travel. Our server was wonderful. Even handled an over indulging drinker with class & style. We can thank him tfor that. We are not drinking but if you were the wine selection and spirits are a plenty. The atmosphere is upscale and classy. Overall a wonderful experience to sit back, enjoy a meal and not stress that your cross country trip is now getting you in at 1am. ”
“ Scanned QR code, ordered beer for my partner and I, paid. 2 minutes later dude comes by and pours both our canned beer into a glass and walks away. No eye contact. No dialogue. Genius. ”
“ I generally have low expectations for Airport restaurants but this place was surprisingly good. The staff is friendly. The Cuban sandwich was very good and the French dip was fantastic. ”
“ Great experience all in all. Got the steak French dip sandwich and it was delicious. Shocked about all the lower reviews. This was some of the best airport food we have had. None of the low reviews reflected in our experience. ”
